PowerSensor ?

PowerSensor is a built-in 'people sensor' that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals to determine if user is present and automatically reduces monitor brightness when user steps away from the desk, cutting energy costs by up to 80 percent and prolonging monitor life.

Technology for energy savings

Economy mode

Economy mode in SmartImage menu helps reduce power consumption. Brightness, contrast and backlighting are fine-tuned for everyday office applications and efficient energy use.

PowerSensor

Senses movement and reduces power when not in use.

LightSensor

Senses ambient light and adjusts screen brightness accordingly.

New low power backlight design

Keep the same brightness but deliver low power consumption.

Zero Power Switch

Zero power consumption with 0 watt hard switch.
With the flick of the 0 watt hard switch, conveniently located at the back, you can completely cut off your monitor from AC power, resulting in zero power consumption when switched off.
Conventional monitors still consume a small amount of power even when switched off. With the Philips Zero Power Switch, the monitor consumes 0 Watt when turned off. (please double check product leaflet “Off-Mode Power” to check specific model’s power consumption when switched off)

Energy-efficient design for enhanced power savings

Using an energy-saving design with a high-efficiency power supply, these monitors achieve a higher energy class while maintaining excellent performance. Efficient LED backlight technology helps maintain brightness and colour while using less energy, particularly in multi-monitor setups.

More than a screensaver

During a typical workday, employees spend time away from their desks for meetings, client visits or breaks. Unlike a standard screensaver, PowerSensor helps reduce power consumption by dimming monitor brightness when the user is not present. The moment the user leaves, the sensor detects their absence and reduces brightness and energy use. When the user returns, the monitor quickly returns to normal operation without manual interaction.

As it operates independently from the PC, PowerSensor can provide additional energy-saving benefits compared to standard PC power-saving settings.
